As demand for electric vehicles grows, businesses and public-sector organisations need charging infrastructure that works for their site, their users and their long-term plans.
Operating nationwide, Mango EV provides that complete service, designing, installing, operating and maintaining EV charging solutions for commercial businesses, fleet operators, schools, hotels, local authorities and charge point operators.
VCHRGD initially launched with Mango EV in late 2025, forming a partnership to deliver reliable and flexible charging hardware that can form part of these tailored solutions. Together, the two businesses are helping customers introduce new charging facilities, expand their existing provision and replace older units that are no longer fit for purpose.
The challenge: Every site is different
Commercial EV charging projects are varied in nature.
A school may need to manage access and pricing separately for staff and visitors. A workplace introducing an electric company car scheme needs chargers that employees can depend on every day. A larger commercial site may require extensive electrical work or a new grid connection before chargers can be installed.
Customers also need to consider how demand could change. Installing only for today can lead to unnecessary cost and disruption if the site has to be redesigned as EV use increases.
Mango EV begins each project with a discovery call and detailed site survey. This allows its team to understand the customer’s current requirements, available electrical capacity, intended users, budget and plans for future expansion.
The business can then recommend the charger locations, hardware, supporting software and electrical infrastructure best suited to the site.

The solution: Dependable hardware that supports project delivery
Mango EV uses VCHRGD chargers across workplace, education and commercial projects, including 7kW and 22kW installations.
The hardware can be combined with a back-office management platform, such as Tap Electric, allowing customers to monitor charger use, manage access and apply different tariffs to different groups. This is particularly valuable at sites where chargers are shared by employees, visitors or members of the public.
Mango EV manages the wider installation around the chargers, including site design, electrical infrastructure, groundworks, bay marking and, where required, grid connections. It also provides monitoring, maintenance and responsive support after installation.
This gives customers a joined-up service with clear responsibility throughout the life of the project, rather than leaving them to coordinate separate hardware providers, contractors and software platforms.
For VCHRGD, working with an experienced installation partner means its technology can be applied to different commercial settings while customers benefit from the advice and on-site support required to make each project successful.
Building scalable charging infrastructure for schools
The partnership has already supported several education sites.
At Beaumont Leys School, Mango EV designed and installed an 11-bay workplace charging solution using 7kW pedestal-mounted VCHRGD chargers.
The school had no existing charging infrastructure but was seeing growing demand from staff and visitors. Following a site inspection, Mango EV provided several options covering different charger locations and opportunities for future expansion.
The main car park was selected because it offered sufficient parking and access to the required electrical infrastructure. The installation created a dedicated charging hub supported by a back-office system through which the school can control access, monitor usage and manage tariffs.
The result is enough capacity to meet the school’s current requirements, with infrastructure designed to support further EV adoption.
At Soar Valley College, Mango EV installed six 22kW pedestal-mounted VCHRGD chargers near the college’s staff parking and sports facilities.
The location made the chargers accessible to employees and visitors, while the management platform allows the college to adjust access and tariffs for different users. As well as supporting the college’s sustainability goals, the installation provides an opportunity to generate revenue from visitor charging.
Replacing unreliable legacy chargers
The partnership is also helping organisations address problems with older charging equipment.
Oakdale School had an existing charger that had never operated reliably. Despite the unit remaining under warranty, the school had received little effective technical support and could not offer dependable charging to staff or visitors.
Mango EV removed the faulty unit and installed a dual 7kW VCHRGD charger. Back-office software was also introduced, giving the school visibility over usage and the ability to set separate tariffs for staff and visitors.
Oakdale School now has two fully operational charging points and greater control over how they are used.
A similar problem affected Jackson’s Bakery following the introduction of a fully electric company car scheme. Its existing BP Pulse charger had failed, and, with the unit out of warranty and no repair support available, the business needed a dependable replacement quickly.
Mango EV installed aVCHRGD charger using the existing location and infrastructure. The new unit is now used throughout the day and night by employees participating in the company car scheme.
